Online Video Conversation – Navigating through the Financial Meltdown
It is getting more obvious day by day that the Banking systems are spiralling out of control. They are telling us that inflation has risen to over 8% per year, but our own experience is that many prices of essentials have risen by around 20% or so in the course of a month or two. Many households struggle to pay their mortgages as things stand, and it is looking as though steep rises in interest rates are inevitable over the next few years.
You already know, if you have participated in my earlier online conversations, or read my book, that I believe that we are living through a pivotal point in Human history. One era is drawing to a close, and another is dawning. Life will look very different for anyone living in the latter decades of this century from anything that we have seen so far. Many people have concluded that all possible futures are bleak, but my position is that we could be on the point of a transformation to an unimaginably bright life of universal Peace, Freedom and Self-expression for all humans everywhere.
I opened Chapter 2 of ‘The Letter from 2100’ with the words: “As the Era of Domination drew to a close it was becoming obvious to a growing number of people that the entire global system was about to unravel. The only question was the form this unravelling would take…” This is now clearly happening on many different fronts, and the speed is picking up.
Complex systems create unpredictable emergent structures and behaviour. The global Human Society is the most complex system so far created on this planet. The next few years are going to be exciting and scary. It would serve us to keep our eyes open.
